I think this trading card idea was from my first year teaching creative writing. I used my friend Jeff (as a high schooler) as the subject. My students were supposed to create a trading card of themselves, in lieu of often annoying 'who am I?' paper. Of course, my version was meant to be more of a parody of the trading card, but I allowed students to add whatever stats they wanted, like GPA and test scores or high school sports batting average, since all that mattered so much in the papers I was having them NOT write.

Anyhow, as a teacher on the first day of school or as a parent just looking for a weekend activity, try the old trading card here as an option.
